Julian Reyes’ origins began in Bogota, Colombia. At a young age, he moved to the United States. Growing up he felt drawn to the hospitality industry. His journey began in 2000 working at an a la carte restaurant in New York City as a server. Then in 2002, he made North Jersey his home and worked at the Estate at Florentine Gardens also as a server. He moved up to Captain and then became Maître d’ before leaving this employ in 2006 when he discovered Nanina’s.
Realizing his passion for service to brides and grooms, he turned his focus to wedding venues while attending college for Hospitality Management. In 2006, Julian was introduced to Joe and Barry Maurillo and Vito Cucci, the owners of Nanina’s in the Park. He worked at Nanina’s as a Sales Manager and Maître d’.
The beauty and splendor of Nanina’s in the Park convinced Julian to marry his bride Nancy there in March 2011. Julian and Nancy welcomed a baby boy, Ian, in 2016.
In February 2013, he branched out and worked as an Operations Manager and Maître d’ at Nanina’s sister site, The Park Savoy. He was there until December 2016 when he came back to Nanina’s becoming the General Manager.
Julian has been an integral part of Nanina’s working with brides, grooms, and many corporate clients such as Clara Mass Medical Center, the NJ Devils, Essex County dignitaries, and the Archdiocese of Newark.
