10 Gorgeous Decorative Touches for a Fall Wedding

Fall is here, and many couples all over the country are putting the finishing touches on their autumn ceremonies! Whether you and your significant other are getting married in a few weeks or holding a fall wedding a year from now, it’s never too early/late to check out the most dynamic seasonal wedding trends and decorative styles that  could make your special occasion truly shine. Here are a few of our favorite autumn styles from Nanina’s in the Park.

  1. Leaf Mason Jars

Looking for a way to punch up your reception tables with a burst of fall color? A Mason jar is the perfect vessel for any season, so attach real or fake leaves to the outside of the piece and add a candle inside for a warm candleholder your guests can take home with them.

  1. Apple Basket Table Cards

A bushel of apples is a common image during harvest season, so make this the backdrop for your wedding reception table cards. Put your table numbers and guest names onto toothpicks and place them into each apple in the basket. This is an easy way for your guests to find their tables and enjoy a snack on the way!

  1. Seasonal Snacks

Go for the gusto during your fall wedding by adding seasonal selections like apple cider doughnuts, pumpkin cookies or anything else that reminds you and your significant other of autumn.

  1. Pumpkin Flower Vases

You’ll want to incorporate pumpkins into your fall wedding in some way, but a great idea is to hollow out the inside as you would for a jack-o-lantern, but instead inserting a small vase inside to hold floral arrangements that can brighten the look of your reception tables.

  1. Apple Cider Bar

Nothing tastes more like fall than apple cider. Whether you’re a fan of cold, hot or hard cider, this is a great beverage to provide to your guests and will match beautifully with your seasonal backdrop.

  1. Log Centerpiece

Want a truly jaw-dropping natural accent for your wedding reception? A log with holes drilled in it for candles or other decor can be a visual focal point for a food spread or guest card table that will really pop against a selection of fall hues.

  1. Fig Place Setting

Figs are in season during the autumn, and instead of a napkin ring or holder, consider placing a fig on each of your guests place settings to greet them when they sit down. If possible, leave the branch attached to the fig to give it a more natural look.

  1. Throw Blankets/Shawls

The temperatures may be particularly chilly during your fall get-together, so consider putting a basket of shawls and small throw blankets somewhere in your venue so guests can keep warm. It’s the perfect excuse to cuddle up!

  1. Hay Bale Decor

Hay bales are another fixture of the harvest season, and they have unique versatility to be used as places to sit or as a backdrop for decorative accents. Be sure to punch up these areas with flower pails and other pops of color to brighten their overall look.

  1. Fruit and Veggie Centerpieces

Don’t dedicate a huge portion of your wedding budget to wedding centerpieces when natural accents are not only cheaper but will blend into your seasonal backdrop beautifully. Mix and match gourds, apples, pears, eggplants and more on your tables to bring a fresh aesthetic to your reception hall.
