5 Creative D.I.Y Table Number Ideas

At every chance, at every avenue, take advantage of each opportunity to personalize your wedding. Nanina’s is always rooting for you to turn each individual moment into something that expresses you and you partner. It may be trying to help you find your own words with wedding toasts or your personalized wedding vows. Weddings are one of the purest forms of investment (and we’re not talking in dollars). The more you put into it, the more it returns to you in bountiful gains.

Continuing with this trend, we’ve got some suggestions for fun D.I.Y table number ideas. Perhaps you’d like to adopt these, or (even better) they inspire an idea of your own.

1. Roses Are Red, Numbers Are Too
Okay, we admit. we got the easy one out of the way first. But this avenue leaves many options to turn down. You could place the numbers on a paper card, fold it at the top, and hang on edge in the vases. You can paint the numbers onto the vases (or bottles) and even color code the number to the flower type. Such as deep red for a bouquet of roses and bright yellow for dandelions.

2. Stack The Deck Against Them
Got an old deck of cards you’re not using anymore? You can give your reception some Lewis Carrol treatment by designating a table as the nine of hearts and another as the four of clubs. Collect multiple decks of jokers or ace of spades and leave them in front of where the groomsmen sit. They’ll love it.

3. Dishes with Directions
Want a creative way to remind everyone that the reception involves good eats? Arrange food so that it designates a table number. You could make numbers out of Kit Kat bars or other candy and pastries. Or get really into it and make it out of hot food (timing is key, obviously) imagine the delight when people finds their table by seeing three London broil strips make out the number five?

4. Paint by Numbers
Paint the numbers on candle holders, rocks, pebbles or bottles. Paint on burlap or thin cotton cloth and place them in picture frames. When you get as hands on as this, the draw distance becomes: time willing to devote x the draw distance of your imagination.

5. Pop Culture Shall Lead The Way
For themed or weddings or simply just for fun, number your tables with pop culture references. Is there a long-running film/book series you love? Have table one marked with a poster for “The Sorcerer’s Stone”, and table seven with a “Deathly Hollows”. Easy to print and cut out (and frame). Have each table marked with the DVD/Blue-Ray boxes of cable seasons. Ideally a series with heft –like nine tables for nine seasons of Seinfeld. And you can make tiny additions to add to it. It would be easy to tell where the father of the bride should be sitting if there’s a framed picture of Marlon Brando’s “Godfather” at his table.

Ultimately, you are encouraged to mix and match. Play with ideas and see what works for you and your wedding.
